MINING WORKS ON EXCAVATION AND TRANSPORT OF MINERALS

This company has tied its activities with the needs of Mine “Gračanica” Gacko related to exploitation of minerals and excavation of overburden. We have been a significant factor in production of coal on stripe mining ’’Gračanica’’ since 1998, where the emphasis was given to wuality improvement of the coal delivered to the depot of Thermal Electrical Power Plant Gacko. It is being achieved through a selective extraction of scud using machine ''WIRTGEN'' 2200 SM-C ,  which has been in possession of Termograding since 1998. Since 2000. the company has been in possession of excavators LIEBHER 974 B and CATERPILLAR for mass excvations, with which production capacities and scope of works at the stripe mining Gracanica have been significantly increased. The work of all excavators has been supported by our own transportation units as well as supporting machinery, buldozers, grader, tanks and other equipment.

Termograding is in possession of all necessary machinery for independant excavation and transportation of material of different geological structure and solidity as well as of different categories of rocks. It is also in possession of all necessary supporting machniery for maintenance of the site and transportation roads. Excavation of overburden is being conducted by excavators ‘LIEBHERR’ 974 with hydraulic ripper and a bucket of the volume 4.6 and 5.6 cubic meters and by excavators ‘CATERPILLAR’ with a bucket of the volume 2 and 3.5 cubic meters. Preparation of the site is being done by bulldozers and a grader. Exploitation of coal, but also excavation of hard rock masses are being conducted by a Surface Miner ‘WIRTGEN’ 2200 SM.

This machine has been working on selective excavation of pure coal in the stripe mining ‘Gračanica’ Gacko since 1998 and it achieved significantly good results in coal production which ranged, depending on the size of the site, between 4.000 and 6.500 tons per day. Maintenance of temporary roads is being conducted by a grader and sprinkling tank. Transport is being conducted by dumpers with load capacity 85,5 i 100 t, volume 40 and 45 m³, dumpers with load capacity 35 and 40 t and by trucks with load capacity 25 t and volume 16 m^3. Dumpers are FAUN, CATERPILLAR and TEREX, while trucks are MAN abd MERCEDES. Planning of disposed material on the depot and addition of humus are being conducted by bulldozers D8K and D8L. Excavations as well as all other operations are being conducted in accordance with technological schemes, as foreseen in project documentation.
